There are a number of women’s groups, NGOs and Govt. bodies which can be contacted in case of emergency and for support. We have arranged them according to where they are located or according to 4 zones, South, Central, North and East Mumbai, New Mumbai and Thane. Organisations which function from the particular area have been mentioned. This will hopefully facilitate the location of the organization near your residence or the area where you were harassed.
Not all organisations work specifically on the issue of sexual harassment but they might be able to guide you.
The Police Helpline 103 receives calls, gauges the emergency and sends a police van to the site of the harassment.
The 1298 phone is a referral service and guides you to other organizations.
